how hard is it to be a cornerback and what skills need to be mastered thanks Playing cornerback is probably the hardest position to play besides quarterback. You have to be able to run and more than being just fast I think you have to be quick. You have to be mentally tough and have a very short memory. One of the things that often gets over looked is the ability to tackle at the cornerback position you have to be physical. - DM
